ABOUT BAYT AGOODAH

Welcome to BaytAgoodah.org, a platform established to serve as both an educational resource and a sanctuary of knowledge for the Hebrew Yisraelite community. Our purpose is to equip our people with the tools necessary for spiritual, cultural, intellectual, and ethical growth, helping every individual deepen his or her understanding of Our Creator, Our Law, Our Culture, and Our Destiny.

At Bayt Agoodah, you will find a scholarly, balanced, and carefully researched presentation of biblical, historical, linguistic, anthropological, and theological subjects. While our foundation is firmly rooted in the Tanakh and the heritage of ancient Yisrael, we are not beholden to any single camp, congregation, or denominational tradition. Our commitment is to truth rather than tradition, evidence rather than assumption, and wisdom rather than partisanship. We believe that every doctrine should be examined honestly, every claim weighed carefully, and every conclusion measured against Scripture, history, and sound reasoning.

The name Bayt Agoodah (בֵּית אֲגוּדָה / 𐤁𐤉𐤕 𐤀𐤂𐤅𐤃𐤄) literally means "House of Brotherhood." It represents far more than the name of an organization; it embodies a philosophy of unity, mutual responsibility, ethical conduct, and covenantal love among the people of Yisrael. Our guiding principle is drawn from the words of the prophet Zechariah:

"These are the things that ye shall do; Speak
ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute
the judgment of truth and peace in your gates."
— Zechariah 8:16

This passage captures the very heart of our mission. Truth must be spoken without fear or compromise. Justice must be exercised with integrity and righteousness. Peace must be cultivated through wisdom, fairness, and genuine love for one another. Together, these principles form the ethical foundation upon which Bayt Agoodah seeks to build.

The Heritage

Bayt Agoodah was conceptualized and founded by Chief Prince Zebulon Ben Lewi Hedeqyah, whose spiritual heritage traces back to the respected Bnai Zaken family tree. Brother Zebulon entered the Hebrew Yisraelite community through Camp Yakhad during the early 1990s, an offshoot of Bnai Zaken led by the late Chief of Chiefs Naphtali Ben Naphtali(may YAH bless his memory), Chief Prince Tsippor Ben Zevulun, and other respected elders and teachers.

Among the earliest and most enduring lessons impressed upon him was the principle of the Love of Yisrael. He learned that genuine service to YAH cannot exist apart from a sincere love for His people. Knowledge without compassion ultimately produces pride, while truth without love often becomes destructive. This principle would become one of the defining pillars upon which Bayt Agoodah would later be established. Another lesson that profoundly shaped his approach to ministry and scholarship was a simple but powerful maxim:

"A doctrine can only be Truth if it can

withstand scrutiny; otherwise, it is simply

a belief."

This conviction ignited a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. Brother Zebulon devoted himself to the study of Scripture alongside anthropology, history, theology, comparative religion, and the languages of the biblical world, including Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, and Arabic. Throughout this journey, he continually sought divine guidance through prayer, asking the Most High to grant him wisdom and understanding. The words of the prophet Yeremyahu became both a personal charge and an institutional philosophy:

"Thus saith YAH, Stand ye in the ways, and
see, and ask for the ancient paths, where is
the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall
find rest for your souls."
— Yeremyahu (Jeremiah) 6:16

That search for the "ancient paths" continues to define the work of Bayt Agoodah today. As his understanding matured, many young men and women were drawn to the teachings being presented and desired instruction. Recognizing both the privilege and weight of that responsibility, Brother Zebulon often reflected upon King Solomon's humble petition before YAH:

"Give therefore thy servant an understanding
heart to judge thy people, that I may discern
between good and bad: for who is able to judge
this thy so great a people?"
— I Kings 3:9

Like Solomon, he understood that teaching the people of YAH required far more than information...it required wisdom, humility, discernment, and continual dependence upon the Almighty.

The Vision

At Bayt Agoodah, we believe that becoming a Hebrew Yisraelite is not the end of one's journey—it is only the beginning. The greater calling is to mature into a faithful Servant of the Most High, whose life reflects not merely correct doctrine but righteous character.

We believe the Hebrew Yisraelite community is called to a higher standard—one rooted in righteousness, competency, humility, scholarship, ethical conduct, and genuine brotherly love. For that reason, Bayt Agoodah exists to provide educational resources grounded in Scripture and responsible historical research, to promote cultural awareness that reconnects our people with their ancient heritage, to encourage ethical living in harmony with YAH's commandments, and to cultivate unity and mutual respect across camps, congregations, families, and communities.

Knowledge, in our understanding, is not an end in itself. It must produce wisdom. Wisdom must produce righteousness. And righteousness must ultimately glorify YAH.

The Commitment

Bayt Agoodah welcomes all Hebrews, regardless of camp affiliation, congregation, or organizational background. While sincere disagreements may exist among us, our objective is not to deepen divisions but to encourage restoration. We believe that truth should unite rather than unnecessarily divide, and that every Brother and Sister deserves access to thoughtful, well-researched, and intellectually honest resources that strengthen both faith and character. Our desire is to cultivate not merely informed believers, but competent servants—men and women who possess the knowledge, discernment, and ethical maturity necessary to represent YAH faithfully in every area of life.

Our Invitation

Bayt Agoodah is more than a website. It is an educational ministry, a growing library, a center for biblical scholarship, and a movement dedicated to the restoration, empowerment, and advancement of the people of Yisrael. Whether you are newly awakened to your heritage, a seasoned student of Scripture, or simply someone searching for the ancient paths, we invite you to join us in pursuing truth with humility, wisdom, and integrity.

May every visitor leave this place with a deeper understanding of the Scriptures, a greater appreciation for our shared heritage, and a renewed commitment to walking before YAH in righteousness.
